I have noticed in my device manager that I have an exclamation mark next
to the above device. The trouble is I do not know what it is. My PC run
an Athlon XP 2600 with 512MB of PC 2700 DDR ram and a GF 3 TI500
graphics card. It only has a network card sound card in any PCI slots ...

at random times when I boot up my toshiba laptop I get the following error:
svchost.exe has causes an error and will close.
The system responds normally and seems fine. Is there acsolution to this
besides a clean install. It seems to have started after I tried to update

Error reporting said my ram is corrupted and it is unknown whether it is a
hardware or software problem.
The diagnostic procedure tells me to run "mtinst.exe" and I cannot find it.
Any ideas gurus?

I am trying to differentiate 2 video cards that have similar specs, but can

I can't read a drive letter for my parallel port zip 100
disk drive. I am having a hard time backing up files ect.
since service pack 2 installation on windows XP home

When I started my computer today, my DVD-RW drive (drive D) was missing from
"My Computer".  I cannot access it.  Upon checking, Windows advised that
"This device is disabled (code 22)".  I tried to enable it but Windows cannot
enable the device.  What do I do now?

My Sony laptop Removable DVD Rom is not showing on the windows explorer and
will not even open.  The DVD Rom works perfectly on another (similar) laptop.
It seems my laptop does not recognize the DVD Rom at all as it will not even
open. Can anyone help?

I just recently reformatted my C: Drive and before I did this I was in a
Master slave config that worked excellent. Now with same drives same config,
Windows Xp Home Edition sees the drive. In Computer Management I can't get
Windows to accept it, No Option to assign Drive Letter, ...

Assuming your BIOS can handle large hard drives, does SP2 correct the
problem with 48 bit LBA or do you still have to change the registry key to
prevent possible corrupion beyond 137 Gb?
