I have just replaced my mother board and processor in my computer, now Win XP
comes up with a blue screen and will not load. Any help?

I have a Seagate 120GB SATA disk with two partitions, a 30 gb for the
OS (XP Pro SP2) and a 90 gb for other things.
If I run chkdsk c: inside the OS it finds problems. If it runs after
restart its OK.

How can I find out if I'm getting dual channel access on my memory? The mobo
is a Winfast K7-NCR18D-PRO.

The problem is the text display on the PC is weak, a bit faded.

I used to run XP Pro SP2 on an AMD athlon based PC. I had a local computer
shop install a new Intel MB with a P4 2.9gHz cpu and a nVidia GeForce 5700
vidcard from MSI. No changes were made to the OS. Now programs load very

I've salvaged 3 HDD's from a failed server (running WIndows server
2003). All were fine immediately before the server failed (no
diagnosed reason for failure yet). The first disk is fine, but the
other two show as "unreadable" in XP (SP2).
