I am installing a new WD 80 gig. Can I copy the old hard drive to the new hard drive? I dont want to load WIN 98 and then use my XP upgrade. Is there a way to run the upgrade without installing WIn 98 first? thanks

I have both a CD Burner & a DVD burner on the same ribbon.. On the other ribbon I have 2 hard drives which get a lot of use. The CD burner never gets used. Should there be any problem if I were to put a 3rd Hard drive on the same ribbon as othe DVD burner?

I have just installed a new 200GB hard drive and Windows XP Pro keeps telling me that it is only 127Gb in size! When I enter Setup on booting that tells me it is a 207GB drive, why does Windows tell me it is only 127GB and how do I get around this?

I just put a hard drive with windows xp installed on it into an athlon 64 machine. The hard drive came from an emachine. It begins to boot then blue screens. The last file accessed when starting in safe mode is ipvmon.sys

I'm trying to install windows XP SP2 on an external WD 160GB harddrive. But when Im partitioning the drive, I dont get the alternative to format the drive, and the installtions program says that the drive not is a compatible windows XP partition.
