Okay, I don't know what OEM means. I have all the same hardware from my old
computer yet just a new motherboard. I've tried to repair it and it never
asked for a key so at least that much is good, or very very bad. My XPPro cd

I have Windows XP Pro, 1 IDE HD, and 1 SATA drive. After Reinstalling
Windows XP Pro , my SATA drive is not being recognized in Windows or in the

My computer has a cd player installed in it form the manuf. I purchased a
SD-R5372 Dual layer dvd burner to install in an external Housing to hook up
to my unit by USB 2.0.  Do I need to change the jumper from master to slave

I have a problem installing hardware and games throught this drive.  It seems
that it doesnt recognize the CD's.  They are the regular CD's.  I can put in
DVD's and DVD games in and run just fine.  Since it is CDRW too, shouldn't it

For some reason my computer is not taking the repair, or new setup of windows
since I've had a new motherboard installed. . I would just format the HD ,

I am installing a new WD 80 gig. Can I copy the old hard drive to the new
hard drive? I dont want to load WIN 98 and then use my XP upgrade. Is there
a way to run the upgrade without installing WIn 98 first?

I have both a CD Burner & a DVD burner on the same ribbon..  On the other
ribbon I have 2 hard drives which get a lot of use.  The CD burner never
gets used.  Should there be any problem if I were to put a 3rd Hard drive on
the same ribbon as othe DVD burner?

I just put a hard drive with windows xp installed on it into an athlon 64
machine.  The hard drive came from an emachine.
It begins to boot then blue screens.  The last file accessed when starting
in safe mode is ipvmon.sys

I'm trying to install windows XP SP2 on an external WD 160GB
harddrive. But when Im partitioning the drive, I dont get the
