My computer cannot access my F-drive. When I troubleshoot the problem, it

I have an MSI 875p motherboard, which has an onboard Intel ICHR5 chip. I
have a SATA150 drive connected and two optical drives (Master/Slave) which
can be connected to either the Primary or Secondary IDE channel

Okay, here I go again.  About a year ago I had to get a router for my

What connections does one need to daisy chain USB2 hard drives?

I have set-up a new SATA drive as my boot drive (some of you will know that
it's been a long story ;-)
I want to use my old PATA (Maxtor ATA 133) drive as a slave.
But I can't find a jumper setting on the old drive to do this. Two settings

Can both an PATA & SATA drive be in the same machine?
Does this depend upon your motherboard?
Is the connector for both drives the same & if no can a SATA be made to
perform like a SATA by say adding a adapter plug?
