Anyone know why Windows stopped playing both the starting and ending sounds.
Control Panel - Sounds and test and verify both work fine but do not play as

Using a multi-port USB hub with Windows XP. When trying to format/xcopy files
to 2-3 USB Drives recieve an error message: "Error in IOCTL call." Any ideas
on what might be causing this to happen? If I connect the USB Drives to a
different computer they work fine.???

It's been unseasonably warm here in the east, and my computer hasn't taken
it very well. It's gotten loud--real loud. I sniffed around this morning,
and it seems to be fan noise coming from the power supply, although this is
a highly unscientific diagnosis.

Windows won't start -- error message says hal.dll missing.  I can do a
checkdisk but the directories like Windows and Documents and Settings say 0
when I type a dir at the C prompt.  The bat file is there but the config.sys

I have a floppy drive that I want to use on an XP Professional SP2 PC.  The
box says Windows 2000 or NT, but the manufacturer says it is fully
compatible with XP.  When I connect the drive, it does work in XP.
If the drive was not compatible wouln't XP give me some type of message ...

Just upgraded my CPU from a 2600  to  2800  i checked the setting in the
motherboard bios and I have the settings the same  The 2600 i had running at
2.1g  the 2800  will only go to 1.2g  Is there something else I need to
change?   I'm using a  Gigabyte  GA-7NNXP  MB  ..
