This problem has almost driven me to drink.  Did a fresh install on what
will be my HTPC last night.  Everything is working fine with the exception
of the sound.  Everything appears ok on the computer but there is no sound
at all coming out, I get no errors when try to play music ...

After I installed a new sound card I get a message that my computer found
new software-Gameport- and suggests to install it. But I do not need it and
do not want it! How can I explain this to my computer?

Case Scenario:
System upgrade - fresh clean install, from Win 98 to Win XP Pro. Installed
Win XP sp2. XP automatically detects all system hardware and applies the
appropriate drivers.

Will XP support running three LCDC monitors simultaneously and is there a
Video card that availbale that will support three LCD monitors.
I now run two monitors now and like the large screen area.

When i double click "my computer" my CD-rom drive icon is missing

tried to do so by booting the windows xp cd, it said that it could not
communicate with the drive i selected and that i might need special software
to do so.

I have done many powerpoint presentations but I'm not sure what I'
doing wrong.  I've tried to insert a music file into the presentatio

My sound card suddenly stopped working yesterday. As far as I know I've
