After I installed a new sound card I get a message that my computer found new software-Gameport- and suggests to install it. But I do not need it and do not want it! How can I explain this to my computer?

is it possible to install windows xp on an external usb hard disk? when i tried to do so by booting the windows xp cd, it said that it could not communicate with the drive i selected and that i might need special software to do so.

My sound card suddenly stopped working yesterday. As far as I know I've done nothing wrong with it. I checked the volume options etc.. all of them are correct. There are no conflicts with hardware. Could it be broke?
