I have formatted my HD but now I found out that I cannot boot from CD. I
have tried to boot from a floppy but it gives an error that the MS Dos
version is not correct. Any ideas?

I made a clean install of Windows XP Pro SP2 on my new toshiba a75 and
experienced some problems with the Atheros wireless adapter.

I am currently running windows XP with a 30g hard drive. My BIOS can support
at least an additional built in 60g IDE hard drive. I would like to install
an 80g or larger hard drive. Would an external 80g USB drive work? I guess
my question is, would USB support a larger drive ...

I have a P.C. that keeps blowing power supply's.
It is P4 2.4, Gigabyte GA-8IG100MK Main Board in a "whitebox" of

Used to work fine but now my Belkin 8in1 USB card reader shows error of 'USB
Device not recognised.
Other USB devices all work fine (trackball, smartphone etc.) but not

i'm a big cd burnin freak n after i burn a few...tha drive decides itz 2
busy...i try 2 click burn n it sayz tha cd-r drive is in use...tha light is
on on tha drive n it won't do n e thin til it finishes...sumtymez it fixes

to optimize my computer for audio, I have been advised to install XP_pro in
"standard mode" with regard to the Hardware Abstraction Layer.  For this, I
was supposed to press "F5" when the prompt came up to install SCSI drivers
with F6.  I did not see any such prompt on my screen ...

I am replacing a 4200 rpm drive in my laptop with a 7200 rpm. Before i
replace the drive i would like to do a baseline to see what a 7200 drive
difference makes. Can anyone walk me through on how to do this with the
performance monitor or any other utility. Also what do i look for ...

I have a system with multiple sound cards.  One is built in, and one is an
addon.  Once I install the add on card, the on board does not produce any
sound, although it still shows up in device manager without any conflicts.
Anyone have any ideas?

Iam running XP home on a pc with four user accounts in operation . o
one of the accounts there seems to be no  audio output on playback i
Mp3 ect , however if I go into any of other users, the sound output i
prefectly ok.it does not appear to be the obvious of no sound car

I have just buy a Digital Media Pro Keyboard then i came home at try to
install en was READING and READING but nothing happen and now it have kill my
CD rom so now can i install evermore until i get a new one and my sifth
button dont work

A friend has a laptop that I recently removed a lot of viruses from.  It's
now clean, except that the whole machine runs very slowly indeed when
anything is printing.  Any ideas what might be causing that?

I was updating my Inspiron 9100 and i have the NEC5100A burner for my laptop.
After i updated it certain programs cannot detect that the Cd/dvd rom is
even there.  Other programs thats i've added before or after the update still
read it but my Sonic record now and Musicmatch ...
