I have a Toshiba MK5002MPL PC card hard drive. The drive works fine, and is recognized on multiple Windows XP laptops that I own. However, on a recently upgraded IBM T41 with windows XP Professional + SP2, the card is not recognized at all, as follows:

I have an HP M390N media center with a dvd r-w drive and a dvd drive. I've used Roxio for copying disks many times, but now the r-w drive has renamed itself to some unspecified flash memory and the disk copier stated the drives are not compatible. Can anyone suggest a fix?....TIA ...

Seems that after presenting the Lightning guru with factual situations where a APC UPS did protect connected equipment while devices that were connected to the same electrical outlet (not on the UPS) were damaged, that he's got nothing to say now....

I have googled around and found nothing but questions with no working answers, so I'll ask here :) I have winxp pro sp2 on my pc. I have also a 6 usb hub on my motherboard and some external usb enclosures with ide risks in them.

I have a MSI 875P Mobo with an Adaptec 2100S RAID card on pci32 and 2 cheetah 10K.6 in raid 0. I have this problem, the average transfer rate is around 35MB/sec with HDTune, and around 50MB/sec with HDTach, while it shuld be over 90MB/sec.
