I've just upgraded from 98 to XP. I now find I have to switch my scanner on
before my PC or it doesn't find the scanner, with 98 I could switch it on
afterwards and it found it ok. I've looked in 'Device Manager' and the
scanner hardwares there if I switch the scanner on first, ...

I initially had a problem loading the software but it has been fixed except
after I complete the Wizard and want to LOG back in to a web site, I place my
finger down on the pad it takes about 10 minutes before the login and
password is entered and the web site comes up.

I really need help on this.  As stated in the subject, looking in 'my
computer' the built in dvd drive has totally disappeared.  No error message
comes up and I cannot find it on the device manager; only my cd-rw drive is
there.  I have tried searching for it and  I have tried ...

I have just recently purchased a new TV Card for my PC so that i can watch
tv on my PC.
But for some strange reason I cant hear any sound, or the sound card doesnt
seem to pick up any sound.  

Clear Daythe BIOS of my dell optiplex gx1 don't recognize my hard drive .
