i have a creative vibra 128 sound card. the hardware was working fin untill just recently.when my computer crashed from a program install. ever since then i have no audio device. even though the sound car under device manager is listed and said to be working.

HOw do i find out if my computer contains a sound card. I seem to have problems recording, even though i have a microphone. I've tried plugging it into the line in on my screen and mic socket on the system unit, and there's nothing being picked up.

Reloaded xp home last night and everything seemed ok but all I get now after boot up is the above message and black screen..Its possible I loaded the wrong drivers for Ati rage graphics card as I did not have the original disk so I found drivers at Drivers .com.Any ideas pls?

I dont know the exact error but every once in awhile I get a "Memory cannot be referenced at "Address"" error. Is this a problem with my memory or a problem with the pointer in the application? Ive run memory tests and nothing ever comes back with a problem.
