I'm trying to install Windows XP Pro on an older gateway computer. (Bios
info is:   PhoenixBIOS 4.0   Release 6.0    4W4SB0X0.15A.0017.P12).

I inadvertently deleted a partition during a Windows XP Pro installation.  
The disk in mention was setup as a slave drive, but it contained very
important data of which I don't have a backup.   To make things worse, this
is not my computer we are talking about, it is my boss' ...

I just bought a canon powershot a510 and tried uploading pictures to my
computer using the supplied cable and software, but my computer does not
detect it.  It doesn't even show up in the device manager when hook up the

Why is it that a usb modem is always locking up my machine. Sometime when I
plug it into a usb port it locks my machine up. I have also noticed that
