I am running Windows XP Pro...main Hard Drive is 80GB Primary Master; I had
a second (Secondary Slave) 20GB drive where I store all my
files/pics/programs/etc. Both hard drives are Maxtor.
Also I have my Power Options set in the "Turn Off Monitor" to 3 minutes.

I have a new Dell computer with OS Windows XP home.  I just installed my
old Iomega Jaz drive and SCSI card.  The Jaz drive is not located in My
Computer.  The Jaz drive is, however, located in Device Manager in Disk
drives as “Iomega Jaz 1GB SCSI Disk Device.”

OS is Windows XP Home SP 1 and 2.
I have two physical hard drives C and D.  D drive has remnants of an earlier
XP installation and now, on booting, it gives me the choice of which

Can I replace my motherboard, cpu & memory and expect my existing Windows XP
installation to boot up? I realise there may be an issue with XP detecting
too many hardware changes and insisting on being reregistered, but is that
likely to be the only thing?

I have been having similar problems with my new MS Wireless
IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0 mouse (Model No. 1007) on my MS XP Home

Okay, here's the situation, any help you can provide ... please!
I've got a pc running WinXP Home, the 20GB hd had some bad sectors.  I
bought a 160 GB hd to replace it.  The version of Norton Ghost I have won't
handle WinXP, so I did a direct sector copy from the 20GB to the 160 ...

I have recently installed a TORiSAN DVD-ROM DRD-U624 onto my Dell laptop. I
installed a dvd decoder to play dvd's, but even before this nomusic cd's or
data cd's would play. It would just say "insert disc in drive"

I'm trying to get an internal multi-card reader to install correctly on
my WinXP machine. The problem is, it works when logged in as admin, but
not as the User (it's a public place). And in fact, once you log in as
the user and then back again, the drives are not there, like it

Please can someone help me with this problem  I have tried to install an
external mobile drive but the message I get from the device manager is "The
device is disabled because the firmware of the device did not give the
required resources (code 29)"
