I just cleaned the internal components of my computer and I want to know,
what should I use to clean/Wipe the power supply case and the entire computer
case?
I just installed a second HD into my computer and attatched the IDE cable.

My modem is attached the port COM3, but this port doesn't appear in device
maneger. When I click in query modem in diagnostic the message say...the port
that ther modem is attached could not be opened.
error message:   Opening the modem device failed with error 000005aa

Forgive me but I'm not too technically minded.  I just added a Maxtor
1-Touch ll 200gb external HD and since installing it, and the accompanying
Dantz Restrospect Express HD software, I've notice my PC boots up more
slowly.

My scanner was working fine
but now it is not showing up in my computer and in scanner and cameras in
control panel
but in device manager it is installed ok but it has a #2 after the name

I have done a system restore as I lost sound to my dvd etc after a TV card
was installed. The system is now "unstable" (?). I notice on the invoice it
says disabled on board video memory. What is it and should I have been doing
it after system restore?

i have a labtop witch is up by wi-fi and when ever i plug in my ethernet
cable for my speed my computer freezes, so i would have to unplug and plug it
back in to un freeze my computer and get it to work, do any 1 know whats

I have an HP Pavilion computer using XP.  I have in the past saved photos on
to DVD+R discs but now seem unable to do so.  When I try to save with windows
I get the wizard up saying that either the disc is full or it is the wrong
type of disc.  Insert a CD-R disc.

Situation: Had MS Natural Keyboard Pro PS2 with the media keys working just

I recently purchased a new motherboard, It is a PCchips M848alu, and
the bios needed to be upgraded. So I went to their website and read
how to do it. I followed the instructions and I had to make a boot
diskette with the file to flash the bios and put on a new one but

Help me please. I put a CD-RW in the correct drive and started to burn
somemore music onto it and right when it was almost finished, it froze....And
now my drive wont open again and i can't get my CD out... It was my favorite
CD too. :(

If my hard drive fails I want to restore all the software and settings to a
new disk easily. I was wondering if I could do that with the Automated System
Recovery that is on XP or do I need an imaging software like ghost, acronis,
drive image?

I rebuilt a computer and tried to install WinXP but it didn't load properly.  
I get an "windows recovered from a error" message when windows loads.  I want
to reformat C and start fresh but XP wont let me format C.  I remember
reading somewhere how to do this but can't remember ...
