i have recently changed a usb 1.0 card for a usb 2.0 card. the problem is my computer still recognises it as a usb 1.0 even tho i have loaded drivers. i am running xp with sp2 help please

I just installed a new 200GB Maxtor hdd as a slave to my main drive using Windows XP Pro/SP2. I opened Disk Management, saw the drive and formatted it. It formatted in 'Simple' Layout/'Dynamic' Type and I can't get any partitioning options.
