My port is shot. Pending the very expensive replacement of the motherboard (which I have been told is the only solution), is there an adaptor using another port that would allow me to connect to devices normally connected via USB???

Hi, Many thanks for your reply. Fortunately, the PC is still under warranty and Dell say they will collect it and change the motherboard. One thing I am concerned about is that they will wipe my programs.
