We are in a "managed" environment and our 1000 users do not have access to their C: drive only LAN shares. The burning function in XP Pro wants C: to do some sort of caching thing. Any ideas?

I have a PC with 2 SATA drives (Samsung) set up as C and D drives. I can set the power settings so that the drives should turn off after 'x' minutes, but they don't seem to respond. Is there an issue with SATA drives that prevent their shutdown by Windows?

Last week outta nowhere my LCD Viewmaster monitor started turning itself off during operation (using XP). At the time turning it off then on again would bring it back to life, however on Friday that option stopped working. The screen would display for a microsecond in full

I have a computer that I just put a new hard drive into with fresh install of Win XP home. It's an Intel board and the start up always pauses after the messages that it's detected a keyboard and mouse and usb. Then it pauses and just says press F1 to continue.

I'm trying to wipe my system and start a fresh. Installed is Win xp and i have now got Win xp with SP2. I want to format my drive and install the SP2 but when i try to delete the partition it says system files are on there and i can't delete the partition or format the drive.
