I would like to buy an external USB 2 TV Tuner for my Notebook but I am
unable to choose a good one so looking for your advice.

I have win xp  installed  on SATA; now I added IDE on primary IDE channel -
I can see it in device manager but can not  see it  in my computer
what's wrong?

I added a new Seagate 80G hard drive to my wife's computer. No drive letter
comes up for it in My Computer. It shows the new hard drive in bios and
device manager. I set the drive as slave and old one is master. The master
drive is 40GB. What could be my problem?

I can read from cds but cannot copy files or even create a new folder on cd.
When I try, I then cannot get out of explorer window  - system seems to
freeze. Have to re-start pc to get rid of explorer window.

have installed two replacement items on a friends budget machine, neither of
which are particularly hi end so should be supported by your average budget pc
1. an ATI radeon 7000 64mb 64 bit graphics card
2. a CMI 8738 7.1 channel sound card

How can i block the USB devices for a specific time intervals with out
disabling the device?

I am installing a new HDD as a Slave onto my system but when I add it to the
cable and go into the Bios my system doesn't 'see' either the new HDD or the
HDD that is set as Master and has been installed happily for more than a
year.

I've heard that dual core can handle two threads at the same time, but has
less Mhz than single core. Anybody could tell me if it is a good choice to
buy a dual core processor if there aren't enough applications with more than
one thread?

My HD does not show up on the Bios in the Dell (original HD for th

I captured some old video wth the TV card. It is quite small but plays o.k
with wmp. I copied the file  to a rewritable DVD. When I played it it was
jerky. Obviously a step has been missed out > the dvd program can't play it
(file error). What should I do?

I have recently purchased a Sony  Ericsson P910i mobile phone and I am
having trouble synchronising the phone with my PC
Having installed the phone software the phone connection link in the desktop
tray shows the USB port as being connected but does not show the phone.

I just added a Seagate 80 Gig hard drive.  I then started installing the
software for it wihich is Bounce Back.   For some reason it install part of
the program and then I hit YES to make the external drive the back-up drive
and it froze up.   I tried again and it said it froze ...

The CD burner wizard will not work on my XP SP2 Dell Insprion 9300.
When I drag files to the burner drive then choose Write These Files to
CD from the menu the wizard always shows that there is no disc in the
drive.
