I have 3 USB ports and an IR port on my Windows XP Home laptop with SP2.
My laptop is 'busy', a load of different divices being plugged in, then
plugged in different ports the next time (meaning the drivers re-load) etc.
I know that drivers of plugged in USB and close by IR devices ...

I have a friend's dell inspiron 2650 which makes no sound.
Nada, not from cd or anything.  All the drivers are present
and supposedly working.  But I get an error message device object
not found.

I had to replace the motherboard on my system and now it
just keeps rebooting.  A blue screen appears briefly but
there is no way to see the message.
In safe mode bootup, it stops after the GERNUWA.SYS file

I bought a hard-drive which connects through USB. Although it works fine
with Windows 2000 and Millennium, on my Windows XP Professional computer I

My problem is that, I bought a new 200GB SATA hard disk. My motherboard is no
built-in SATA connector, therefore I bought a PCI I/O SATA with RAID card. I
installed the driver, windows xp can recognise the hard disk, but cannot
format the hard disk.

I recently uninstalled my internal modem drivers by
removing all the modem manufacturers entries from the registry...to my
shock however, modem has stopped appearing in the device manager....
