I have 3 USB ports and an IR port on my Windows XP Home laptop with SP2.
My laptop is 'busy', a load of different divices being plugged in, then
plugged in different ports the next time (meaning the drivers re-load) etc.
I know that drivers of plugged in USB and close by IR devices ...

I would like to test the speed of USB 2.0 flash drive read write speed test.
Is there any software to test such drive reasonably accurate?

I have a friend's dell inspiron 2650 which makes no sound.
Nada, not from cd or anything.  All the drivers are present
and supposedly working.  But I get an error message device object
not found.

Followed the advice given and spent £100 on an OCZ Modstream PSU.  Guess
what - I got the crash after playing Doom 3 for about 25 minutes.  Whilst
playin I recorded the voltages using Asus probe and this showed all the
voltages to be very stable.  The CPU fan though did seem to ...

I had to replace the motherboard on my system and now it
just keeps rebooting.  A blue screen appears briefly but
there is no way to see the message.
In safe mode bootup, it stops after the GERNUWA.SYS file

Is there anybody who can tell how I can add a driver so that windows Xp
recognize
this and does a unattended installation of the hardware device (a example is
a USB mouse)

I've had a new hard drive installed which is working without any problems. My
old hard drive has been fitted into my new(er) computer but I can't access
the files that I left on it except for the Windows system and program files.  
It has come up as Drive F and I've tried ...

I bought a hard-drive which connects through USB. Although it works fine
with Windows 2000 and Millennium, on my Windows XP Professional computer I
get this error:

is an external drive powered only from usb  slower or worse than an external

Recently I have rebuilt my pc, following a failed mobo. Last night I
started reinstalling windows. Everything was going fine except a couple
of nasty mid-install restarts which meant I had to install windows
again.

I was using my laptop when all of a sudden, it went haywire and starting
clicking somewhere in the computer.  I had recently had a linksys cd in my
machine, and it started working.  All of a sudden, it gave a message that it
could not be stopped.  It now says I have no harddrive. ...

My problem is that, I bought a new 200GB SATA hard disk. My motherboard is no
built-in SATA connector, therefore I bought a PCI I/O SATA with RAID card. I
installed the driver, windows xp can recognise the hard disk, but cannot
format the hard disk.
