I have a problem with getting my monitor to display 1280x1024 in windowsXP. Here is the story: I have used this monitor (A4033, multisync) for years on 98SE at 1280x1024 (and even for a while at 1600x1200), and it works

After reinstalling XP, my DVD player no longer plays sound. CD and system sounds are fine. (I had this problem when I first installed the DVD, but re-installing DVD software (PowerDVD) fixed the problem. Now no media player plays DVD sound.

Recently I placed a dvd into the HP dvd writer dvd400i and i think that after I couldnt run that dvd..its stopped working. When i put a dvd into the drive now, the light blinks about 5 seconds then stops.... and the computer seems unable to read it at all.
