I have a Samsung SATA hard drive, a Sony CRX225 CD-RW and a Plextor PX-708A
DVD-RW.  I hadn't used the burners for a while, now they aren't working (can
read from them but most of the time won't write).  In the device
manager\drive\properties, Win XP sees them all as SCSI devices ...

A CD-recording driver is installed that might cause stability problems,
including problems shutting down and problems using a CD/DVD drive. This
driver will be disabled.
i have been getting this message ever since i upgraded to xp. i have deleted

After reinstalling XP, my DVD player no longer plays sound. CD and system
sounds are fine. (I had this problem when I first installed the DVD, but
re-installing DVD software (PowerDVD) fixed the problem. Now no media player
plays DVD sound.

I have a e-machines running on windows xp, and i have a toshiba cd/dvd
burner.  When i try to burn a MP3 cd the burn process failes and it says
"invalid block address" and "invalid write state". The funny thing is that i
burned some of the same song on other discs and they worked ...
