Admin login, but is not available for the User (public) login. It used

I have an Asus K8N-E Deluxe, and an Athlon64 3200+ [754].  Successfully
implemented all the settings for Cool and Quiet, and it is working properly
(installed the AMD CPU driver btw, along with dashboard).  But this controls

my cd drive has completely disappeared from my computer software.  i cannot
open the drive, or find it in any search on my computer.  i have a feeling
one of my children has deleted it but i do not know where to start.  i cannot
attempt to re-install via any disc as i cannot open ...

If I was to upgrade the MB & CPU in my PC, how will that affect the overall
operation of the PC, other than increasing performance?  I know I'll
probably need to re-activate XP, but are programs dependant on the CPU /
motherboard?  I can't think of any...  Should I expect any ...

I'm trying to install WinXP on a Pentium III with 8 GB of HD. The
problem is that the PC -after the first reboot during the installation-
is blocked. The keyboard doesn't work anymore.. and I am compel to
reboot from the PC's button.

I have a laptop with raid controller. When i trying to install Winxp i have
to install raid drivers first so WinXp can recon my HD, problem is drivers
have to be on floppy disk and i dont have that i my laptop.
can it be done without floppy drive ?

I have had an absolute nightmare with my hard drives failing over the
past couple of days. First off, I have four drives, a 40GB, a 80GB, a
120GB and a 250GB. About a week ago, my 40GB (which has XP on it)
suddenly wouldn't boot. The windows logo would appear, then the BSOD
