Hello, I read some articles you've posted about booting from an
external USB HDD.
Although it is possible to boot, I also read installing XP on external
USB HDD is impossible.

I've been having a strange problem with my home PC that's made the
DVD/CD unusable for the past week or two.
* Dual Pentium 3 CPU's, 1 GB RAM
* Motherboard is an Microstar Pro266TD Master-LR (MS-9105)

I thought I read that there was a patch available for Direct Push - the
windows mobile 5 messaging technology that would be available before
Exchange 2003 SP2.  Does anyone have any info on this?

Hi, I have done all I know to do, and my HD still runs SLOW. It did not
used to do this.  I have updated and run Ad-Aware, cleaned out all
unneccesary files, run defrag, and still it is so slow.  HD tach gives
these results:

I wonder if it is possible to plug a dvd player  (who normally should be
connected to a television) to a pc (maybe with some special cables?)

I just installed a brand new cd-rw & dvd-rw into my computer. and windows did
not see that there was new hardware installed, and it did not assign a letter
to the drive, in fact it does not show up in my computer. It also does not
show up in device manager.

My friend has a Diamond SupraMax LE modem installed on her new Dell
Dimension (3000?).  It is supposed to have a modem-on-hold feature.  How do
we go about setting it up?  I know her ISP supports the v92 v44 technology.
We just couldn't find where to set it up.  Any help?

I have formatted a CD using InCd (Nero) and there were no errors.  Every
file/folder I try to copy directly (using Windows Explorer) I get the
following error:

I have just purchased an external harddisc (usb). Everytime it starts windows
annoying autoplay starts... for evey partition!
Is there anyway to stop this?

Further to my post of 9/18/2005, I have installed a floppy drive and obtained
the driver disk for the SATA drive, in order to reinstall WinXP SP2.
The installation goes fine up to and beyond the first reboot.  Then during
the fourth bullet point "Installing Windows" with 39 ...

Looking for USB and Sata ports, board combo. Anybody has idea where can I find a PCI board like that?
