I have an HP Pavilion/AMD K7 800 Mhz that sports a modified ASUS K7M mother
board. Originally, the board had three slots for RAM. HP altered it so that
there are only two.
I have put two 128 SDRAM PC-100s in and no problem. I have put one 256 SDRAM

The first, a large one, has the Intel brand on it, and looks like it has a
lever attached to it, so it can be lifted out.
The second, and much smaller, only has Gigabyte AGP 8X on it.

When I tried to reinstall WIN XP from the Originl CD (i did not)  I did see
3 partition 2 are shown a size and  the file system NTFS.  The Partition
with the WINDOWS System on it showed  full size free on a unknown system.

Hello got this message with the strange descripton below.
I can go untill the sreen comes up  chose safe mode ...  (like after the F8
during the boot process)

I have a USB 2.0 external hard drive attached to my laptop.  The problem is
that the drive letter (Drive K in my case) would change on its own every so
often.  I know how to use the disk management feature on Win XP to change the
letter back, but I don't like to keep doing this.  ...

Is it possible to transfer files (documents) from a drive that was the
system drive on a Linux machine to a PC with Windows XP Pro (with NTFS) by
connecting the linux drive either on the onboard IDE bus or as a USB2

I have a HP xw8200 Worstation PC I bought it with 2GB of DDR2/400 mhz/Dual
Channel memory. I bought (2) 1GB of the same memory. If I go into BIOS it
reads 4096MB but in Windows XP SP/2 is says 3.0 GB Is this a glitch in
Windows?
