Is there an alternative to recovery console? It crashes actually inside recovery console with "REGISTRY_ERROR" before you get a chance to fix it. When attempting to boot normally, the System registry is declared corrupt. Last Known Good doesn't work, or any other options.

tried to back up("burn") some files onto a cd but it is not recognizing when I put a blank cd in the drive. Also, in properties it shows that the drive is full...this is with the blank cd! Hope someone can help! Also, same kind of problem with 3.5 floppy.

I have been reading about this Hiberfil.sys file in this NG, but I don't seem to have one on my computer, yet it hibernates fine. Is this not true when you are using 32-bit file system for Windows XP? Regards.

I have an Asus A8N-SLi Deluxe mobo, 4 GB of OCZ PC3200 and Windows XP Pro SP1. The mobo reports the amount of physical memory correctly. XP System Information and two utilities (Everest Home and Aida32) report 2.75 GB of physical memory.
