i got an USB HD enclosure for 3.5 HDs. It's got its own power supply.
everything seems ok. it's recognized. It's when I'm copying files. I
can copy files bu it suddenly stops, disappears from My Computer. Light
is still on. external HD is still runnning. But windows can no longer

Looking for a utility program I put the Intel motherboard disk from one
computer into another.  The CD was a self starting bios install disk.  Now
the computer I put it in is stuck with an endless loop:
Every day I start it up the "found new hardware" wizard starts up, but no

I have two drives and need to upgrade C drive to larger one. I plan to use
Ghost (or some other utility) to clone the drive. I hope that I can use a
USB 2.0 IDE inteface (Drive Kit) for the cloning instead of physically
installing the new drive in the PC. Do I need to get sysprep ...

Can the RAM be Combatible before i install my VGA driver and be
un-combatible when i install them :S

yea I know windows provide VGA support by its deafult drivers but i
can't do any gaming on useing this drivers ,
anyway , before i format my system and work w/t the new DDR i was using
my VGA drivers that came w/t it w/o any problems @ all

I am running Windows XP Home SP2 on two computers.
I copy 10 Mb of files to a blank CD.  Under Properties I see that the CD
contains 10 Mb of files.  I also see that the capacity of the disk is 10
Mb.  I copy five Mb of files to the CD.  Under Properties I see that the CD

I have a laptop where I can not use DHCP correct with it.  My office network
is based on 192.168.254.xxx/255.255.255.0 (do not ask!  My client networks

I took the general consensus and installed a PCI IDE controller. I
installed the drivers for it (Silicon Image SIL0680 by Syba). The Asus
motherboard sees it in the BIOS. The boot order is correct: My SATA
drive and then the SCSI drive on the new controller. However I can't
