Since I wiped my drive and reloaded Windows and the rest of my software, I have not been able to read from my DVD drive. My CD drive is okay, though. I used the troubleshooting facility, but it did not solve the problem. Any help will be appreciated.

My computer (a emachine T1860, running WXP) was running "Winfixer" repeatedly. I don't know what it is, except I sure didn't put it there and wanted to get rid of it. To do that I ran an antivirus program call "Stinger".

Recently, I replaced a Western Digital 160GB drive on one PC with a Hitachi 250GB one. This is the master on the primary IDE channel on a Promise TX2 Ultra-133 PCI Controller. The drive was partitioned (NTFS) and formatted in Disk Management and works perfectly in Windows (XP Pro).

My boss has a Dell Dimension 8100 and has about 8-10 USB devices plugged into it. Periodically it locks up. What is XP's limit has to how many USB devices it can support? The computer has about 6 USB ports on the back and two in the front.
