I have a Maxtor 6Y120L0 SCSI Disk Device using a WinXP Promise Ultra133 TX2
IDE SCSI CONTROLLER. The weird thing is that the drive is the second physical

I have added to a friends PC a USB card using one the ubiquitous NEC
devices.
I had expected, perhaps naively, that WinXP would find the card and install
drivers for everything to be hunky-dory.

Is there any way to stop XP from changing a DVD region during a
reinstallation of XP if you reinstall in another geographic location?

I just installed an 80GB HDD in a older computer but the Award BIOS will
only detect 32GB. The system is now running windows XP, which is working

I'm trying to use a couple different SATA adapters--those plug-in modules
that convert EIDE drives to SATA--in an educational setting. I need to show
the adapter working, then remove it.
What's apparently happening is Win XP Pro SP-2 doesn't like to go from SATA

I have a IBM deskstar drive which I have been using as a slave drive
with Windows XP Home for several months with no problems. However about
a month ago the computer took a long time to detect the drive and once
it eventually did it kept trying to read it but this no luck. Thus
