Something happened the other day and now videos are much darker than
photos on my Windows XP machine.   I can set the videos to look the
way they used to by changing my video card settings, but then
everything else is washed out.   Reseting my settings makes everything

I thought it was only going to be usb powered, but I see a 5 pin male slot
on the back of the device. I have no 5 pin female connectors on my PSU.  So

Feel really stupid being stuck at stage 1....
Have new Seagate 80GB disk in new IDE caddy. Powered and whirring gently.
Plug into USB2.0 port and XP recognises new hardware (briefly notifies).
Can't see it in My Computer; Can't see it in XP Disk Management utility.

   I have and error after running Norton AntiVirus 2006 at boot up.  Error:
Application failed to initialize properly.   I have to click ok to terminate
the program but Windows hangs and goes to the desktop with no icons or task
bar.  I can run task manager and select log off ...

At times one of my CDRW drives will not eject.  Even placing a paper clip
into the eject hole has no effect.  I can reboot and everything is fine.
Any ideas of what might cause this.  Seems to happen after I get an error
message ' media not valid'  TIA

I was wondering if it is harmful to prevent a DC fan from spinning by
jamming a piece of paper in it. This is a small (30mm diameter) plastic
fan, of the cheapest quality. Will it cause the motor to overheat or
cause any safety issues? Or is it perfectly harmless?

to format it an error message comes and says the disk is write protected. the

Is pc100 backwards compatible?  The chips I have are 66 meg sdram sodimm's

In My Computer I have a D drive that's listed as DVD_RAM. When I right click
on it the Format selection does not appear. This is preventing its uses as a
RAM drive.
When a blank DVD is inserted, it changes to a CD drive.

oI bought bluetooth USB dongle from X-Micro, and it was working until I
install SP2, after installing SP2 it wont work, I also download the latest
drivers for device.
