This is odd. I was trying to add a second lan card to my pc but winXP will not show it. If I add the hardware and driver manually it will show up in device manager but it says "unable to start this device"(code 10). It has been tried in 2 different pci slots with same results. ...

I'll assume this is onboard sound on the motherboard. Try downloading the drivers from the manufactures website. Ensure the onboard sound is enabled in the BIOS. Remove the old drivers (either through Add/Remove Programs if listed, or through System Properties). Restart and ...

Somehow, while rebuilding a computer and reinstalling Windows, I have a removable drive H indicated in Workplace and Explorer but which doesn't exist in reality. It has 0 Octets capacity and 0 Octets used.

Sometimes afte my printer spools up, and the moment it begins printing, the audio will cut out and I need to reboot in order to get sound again. Anyone have any thoughts on what is causing this? Thanks,
