All,
I am going to set up my PC with two 80GB 7200 RPM SATA hard drives in RAID 0
configuration.  I should get some good speed with this setup.  My question
concerns the size of the backup.  I will have two 80GB hard drives which will

not sure what or how 2 do it. i think i need 2 change my settings but dont no
how. plz plz help or is there somewhere else that can help.

XP Pro sp2 with an external LG Super Multi DVD/CD burner.
Is the Microsoft CD burning procedure supposed to recognize external
(in this case Firewire) drives?
When I try to move files or folders to that drive, I get an invalid operaiton

I cannot get my (newly built) PC running Win XP SP2 to recognise a
memory stick in any of the USB (2.0) ports - either on motherboard or
PC case.  I've checked the following: Drive is NOT visible in control
panel - admin tools - computer management - storage - disk management;

Just recently my CD ROM has been opening on its own, sometimes closing
sometimes not. Also my DVD RW will only read DVD's where it used to read all.

Id like to hit a key on my computer and have it come up on two of my
computers at the same time, not a switch that only controls one at a
time, but a splitter if you will, pref. ps2 but usb is ok if there even
is one that exists, or would there be some kinda conflict...please

I have WINXP PRO.
I have 2 hard drives. a maxtor 120gig for the C (master), and an olde
maxtor 80 gig for my E(slave). the last 3 weeks or so, everytime

I need to lower the sensitivity of my gamepad (USB), and wonder if there is
anyway to do this.  My disc drivers, game menus, and XP have no visible
options for this.

For some reason my intellimouse Optical USB mouse has stopped working.
The mouse works on other machines, but other machines mice don't work
on this one.  They all come up as unknown devices.
Other USB devices are still functioning fine on this machine, it's just

neighbor has winxp on his laptop, starting about a month ago, evertime he
shuts down, and restarts, it requires a phone call to activate.  That is
successful, however next shut down, same thing.  He has been stand-by 'ing
as much as possible.  Any reasons that may cause this.  ...

does anyone have a suggestion how I can monitor the temp of the disks?
Everest can't... they only access disks which are not in an array... but for
sure people with RAID (disk mirroring) must have a way to monitor the
temperature.

enabled the raid controller of my motherboard (silicon image 3112)
installed the driver and defined a raid 1 set.
Defined the source disk and the destination....
Then the Windows raid utility sent a message saying that the set was creating and that the rebuild was on going.... but ...
