Will an Intellimouse Explorer mouse work with a laptop touch-pad?  I would
like to retain the functionality of my touch-pad and still use the features
of the Explorer mouse when connected.

Device manager shows this as a CDRW, and will only load the standard CDRW
drivers. The DVDRW cuts out after makng a few short attempts to kick in.
However it plays and records CDs fine.
Can anyone help?

I have a DELL Inspiron 5100 laptop.
Running Win XP Home causes no problems but if I install Win XP PRO the DELL
doesn't plug and play USB devices.
I have to shut down and plug them in and re-boot for the OS to recognise them.

I don't know how long it's been happening, but the other day when I went to
write to a cdrw disc using my plextor cdrw drive, it wouldn't read it. I then
put the same disc into my BTC dvdrw drive and it worked. The day after I

I have a customer with 2 P3 systems running XP home that is fully patched
and they both use Microsoft wireless desktop 1000 mouse and keyboard sets.
