I Own Dell Dimension 8300.
Recently my hard drive continues to run and run and run. I've gone through
all of the diagnosis procedures and nothing shows up as a problem using the
XP tools.

Hi. My D drive has disappeared. I have had problems with hackers. Don't know

I've seen alot of articles in this newsgroup that were similar but none seem
to address my exact problem.  I've applied the info I've garnered but to no
avail...  I'm working w/ a Toshiba Satellite Laptop 5205-S703.  the trouble
is that the DVD\CD SD-R6012 drive is not working ...

I got a Geforce 4 mx 440 video card with 64mb ddr. Nevertheless, when I look
at the properties of the system it says it has only 32mb and games that

My machine ran with 2000 previously and I installed XP SP2 yesterday.
After that, the hard disk starts to noise loudly and frequently. My
Win2000 was on G: and I formated C: from FAT32 to NTFS to install the
XP. What might be going wrong?

hello,
i am done w/ trying to figure this out.  i have an asus p5nd2 motherboard w/
PD 830 processor.  other components include: xfx geforce 7800 GTX video card,
2 g OCZ RAM, 2x 100gig Maxtor SATA drives, and the other general hardware

Since I reformatted my hard drive the other day, I have been unable to
reinstall windows on it. The drive is showing up in the BIOS and in the
windows installer, however it can not be accessed.
I have tried this hard drive in a different pc, and the same thing happens -

I'm at the end of my rope here. I've been building systems and working
on computers as a hobby for many years but I cannot figure out this
problem. Please excuse me if I'm not clear. I am self taught and might
