Windows Media Centre + NTL Cable27 Jan 2006 14:24 GMT1
I am going to buy a Media Centre PC and build it myself. I know what to get
TV tuners wise, but I was wondering if It was possible to use my NTL CABLE
via the PC. I am basically using MCE to get rid of all them boxes... dvd
players, etc etc.

OS Windows XP home edition.
DVD drive (drive D) is registering as a CD drive in "My computer" window.
When I place DVD disc in the drive it wont work. In Device Manager it is
recogonised as DVD drive and there is no conflict showing. Can anyone help me

I have a Dell Dim 4400 W/Pentium 1.8 GH processor and Win XP SP2.  I have
been using a flash drive with no problems, drive G.  I purchased a 2nd flash
drive and installed both.  The new one was recognized immediately. It,

Just a month every thing work on my computer for the past 1 year. But for
some time I noticed that my CD is not reading the the CDs. I run the windows
updates but I don't konw exactly when updates really happend and if they

I just bought a used laptop and after i was done using it I turned it off.
Anyway, when i went to turn it on again, there was nothing showing up on my
screen and there was this repetitive beeping.  Ive looked through beep errors
and i havent been able to find the definitive error ...

If I disable HT in the BIOS will I have to reinstall Windows XP ?
Or will windows recgonize that I have disabled the bios and load the correct
HAL/Drivers?

My Power supply recently failed and took the motherboard with it  (and
keyboard). I have replaced these three items. The computer now starts up, but
after recognising the various disk drives (HDD, DVD etc), it prompts to start
in Safe Mode, Windows; Windows with networking etc. ...

I have a Windows XP Home PC which will not automatically find and install
USB devices such as pen drive/camera.
Starting the installation wizard manually installs them fine.
Any ideas?

Could someone point me to a tutorial for adding an old HD to a new
system. Both systems are Gateways and have Windows XP Home installed.
The old system's motherboard is fried so I cannot access it to store or
