I am going to buy a Media Centre PC and build it myself. I know what to get TV tuners wise, but I was wondering if It was possible to use my NTL CABLE via the PC. I am basically using MCE to get rid of all them boxes... dvd players, etc etc.

OS Windows XP home edition. DVD drive (drive D) is registering as a CD drive in "My computer" window. When I place DVD disc in the drive it wont work. In Device Manager it is recogonised as DVD drive and there is no conflict showing. Can anyone help me

Just a month every thing work on my computer for the past 1 year. But for some time I noticed that my CD is not reading the the CDs. I run the windows updates but I don't konw exactly when updates really happend and if they could affect anything. Any way, on under the Device Manager ...

Appreciate if someone could help this: I recently have a strange display problem on a desktop system (Windows 2003 Standard, but I doubt it has anything to do with the OS) and I simply don't know how to find out the cause of the problem.

If I disable HT in the BIOS will I have to reinstall Windows XP ? Or will windows recgonize that I have disabled the bios and load the correct HAL/Drivers? Robert
