I want to get one or more network ready drives, but can't find any that
specifically state they have drivers for x64.  Any hints?  TIA

Hi, my first question (and probably not my last)! to the board.
Please accept my apologies if this issue has already been covered.
I have a laptop with an integrated cd/dvd rw combo. I have in the past
sucessfully played and burnt both music and films with no issue.

I have a 80GB hitachi Travelstar in a USB HDD Case. my system does
recognise it as USB Mass storage but doesnot assign a drive letter.
When I do in disk management i don't see this drive.
Start>Control Panel.>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk

I have a Western Digital 100GB external hard drive that I use for backup.
The drive has two partitions of 20GB and 80GB. When I try to defrag the
drive, it runs for a couple of seconds and then terminates with the

For the past 2-3 years, I have been putting my computer on standby (I

I know my machine only has low speed USB ports and I'm OK with that. When I
plug in a hi-speed USB device I get the normal pop-up telling me that my

Relatively new system has been running fine, but would
like to use full DLL cache. So increased the amount of
memory for protected mode and ran sfc /scannow.

I found some corrupt files and deleted them but now performance is slow on
some applications.  When I try to run error-checking with "scan for and
attempt to recover bad sectors" on the hard drive, it locks everything up
about phase 4 of the scan.  I've run spyware and virus ...

Recently I went to play a video from my second hard drive and the
audio/video was very choppy. I went to check it under device manager
and it was set DMA if available/ DMA Mode 2. I then checked it in bios
but it was set to DMA Mode 5 there. Anyone know how I can change this

ive got a dual boot system (xp pro and mandriva 2006)
its got a 1.8g amd processor and 256 sdram, im wanting to add extra
memory as ive got a few spare strips of 128 sdram all pc133 slot same
as my board. when i add a strip and turn on the pc , after it gets to
