The disk has been formatted and partitioned, It was working with the previous
Win XP-Pro that I had installed, and I had to re-install the Home Edition
version since the Pro wasn't original and was giving me a lot of conflicts.
Now it doesn't work with the Home Edition version, ...

We have several identical computers at work, all with Windows XP Pro
installed (some SP1, others SP2). They all have one Pentium 4 with HT.
On 2 of the computers, Task Manager shows 2 CPUs, but on one computer it

I have an Everex Explora RS2800, I currently have the standard video card
that came with the system that shares 64mb of my 256mb of ram in the system.
Would it be wise to install an external video card with 16mb of ram? both
are agp, I dont play games a lot, usually just browse ...

I installed a beta version of Vista.  It would not allow me to  inialize my
RAID array.  I uninstalled it and my RAID array is still not able to
inialize.  Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Dell latitude d610 with XP. It came with the Alps pointing
device driver for the touchpad. At home I use a Logitech cordless
mouse. After installing drivers for this, I have lost the Alps drivers.

I recently got this warning logged in the eventlog in XP Pro SP2:
The device number of a(n) CdRom drive cannot be determined.
This device failed to configure.
This event may be logged several times for the same device.

All of the sudden, when I look at Monitors in device manager there are 2
monitors listed.  One is default monitors, and the 2nd is the monitor I am
using (NEC).
When I delete 1 or both devices, both are reinstalled.  Is there a fix for

I can not figure out on this BIOS so my system info does not display at boot
up. My system information displays as well as my "device listings."
My hard disk is configured at the top in my boot order? Is there something

I have never seen or heard of this issue before.
I have an 80 GB HDD, 3 partitions, C=10gb, D=30gb, E=40gb.
OS: XP Pro SP2. Logged on as administrator, open Disk Management, Disk
0 shows as a Basic disk, size 113GB with a 40gb c partition.

I have this off and on problem with my screen jumping and scrolling
rapidly and without my instructions to do so. I've changed the mouse,
so that's not it. I've checked the settings and find nothing to set
that might influence this effect. It's driving me crazy! I regularly
