I'm running a program from the CD rom on my Dell Latitude D600 running
Windows XP, and after a short period of inactivity, the CD drive stops
spinning (spin-down). When the program then next needs to access
information on the CD there is a long delay while the drive gets back

which I had a JBOD Raid config of two Maxtor 300gb
SATA drives where I kept about 500gb of data stored

I have a system running Windows XP SP2. The system has a built-in card reader.
I very seldom use the card reader; however, when working with a compact
flash card that I will use in a new camera, I experienced a troubling
phenomenon.

I tried two ways to get a 2nd monitor working but neither worked.
First I connected one mon. to the onboard Video output, then installed a
second video driver card in the AGP slot. Can get one to work but can't get
both to light up.
