i was wondering if i can change motherboards but keep my same version of
windows xp. the computer was built from scratch and windows was bought
seperately from the computer components. any and all responses are welcome.

I am attempting to install ADSL broadband on a friend's laptop (Acer

with Intel 865P chipset motherboard, with only a Seagate Barricuda
ST3300622AS 300GB SATA Hard Drive, running with BIOS SATA settings as Auto

I have ASUS MyCinema 7131. I have installed the card along with
CyberLink Power Cinema on D945GNTL motherboard.
The remote has a problem: Remote works fine until video (or TV) is not
playing. As soon as I play video/TV, the remote doesn't work anymore!!

The usb on back of machine works. but when you put digi camera or anything it
makes the normal noise thats its connected, but nothing happens. They are
both connect to the motherboard, so why dont they work?

Will there be a compatibility issue if I transfer files from both laptop and
desktop machines to the same external hard drive? Mine is an ION TriSelect,
which works perfectly for desktop, but I'm not sure if it would would be
compatible with a laptop.
