After a system crash, one of my hard disks became "invisible".  BIOS
recognizes it, WinXP System info reports it, but Storage...Disk Management
reports it as an unknown filesystem.

i can't use my dvd rewriter many times, i reinastalled the windows, after i
use about 10? than it doesn't work anymore. now it seems can't be reached

I just had a system meltdown on my other PC, running 2k. The "system" file
went bad, and restoring it from a backup at the recovery console got me up
and running. (don't ever let anyone tell you command line skills are
useless........)

tool out there that will tell you the cyl. heads and sectors of the HDD if
you only have the size of the HDD.  So for example, if I have a 300GB SATA

when i try to burn cds, as i have successfully in the past i get error
message "Insert a blank CD-r or CD-RW in CD drive (E:), and then try again."
But there is a blank cd-rw inside!  I have gone through the entire
troubleshooting menu with no success.  is this a hardware problem? ...
