When at the nVidia site and am downloading nForce4 drivers for the
motherboard in the install hints it says to uninstall the graphics drivers
first. Is this only appropriate when installing new graphics card drivers or
do I need to do this for motherboard chipsets as well?? ...

Ok, I'm stumped as heck here...
I had previously used Windows 2000, though I'd installed XP as a backup plan.
When I upgraded my processor, I was no longer able to boot into 2000, but
was able to boot into XP.

    I have XP Home SP 1.  Three times this week, the computer hangs,
then I hear a "beep," and it's frozen.  Control+Alt+Delete won't work.
I can't even shut it down by doing that twice.  
    I have to hold the power button in and shut the computer down

MSI m/b which has the socket for the 4 pin 12V ATX CPU power connector.  CPU
is Athlon XP 2000.
Odd thing is that it works either with this connected or without, how come

A friend asked me to read a hard drive they had in their
Windows 98 machine. I installed it as a slave in my XP
box. The bios sees the drive as a slave however, the
drive does not appear in either Explorer or in Disk

I've got Hard Drive issues. I turned on my computer this morning and it said
"Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk and Press Enter" The drive was
detected in the bios.
I completed the Seatools testing (result below), where is passed all test

i have a cd rewriter drive which has in the past worked ok but now when i
click on the drive a message says that the drive is not accessible & when i
insert ablank disc & go to properties for the drive it always says that the

I just bought an ipod nano and when I plugged it in, it somehow changed the
drive letter of my external hard drive. My computer used to layout like this:
E: unassigned for plug and play
F: network drive
plugging in usb 1.1 in 2.0 makes all ports/devices run at 1.1?11 Apr 2006 21:45 GMT4
If my computer has all 2.0 USB ports and I plug in a device that is
1.1, will this make all of my computer USB ports only operate at 1.1

In the begining their was an internal hard disk, still is.  Some time ago I
installed an external usb second hard disk and all was fine.  Now when I try
to connect it for some reason it is not recognised, doesn't come up with
autoplay options, and does not appear in my computer ...
