I have just installed Windows XP Home on a Dell Latutude C600 laptop. I
installed the driver for the DWL-G650+  PCMCIA wireless adapter and the
installation guide says restart and windows will start the 'New Hardware
found' wizard.  I pushed the card in, restarted but no 'new ...

I have a "hot swap" bay for a removable HDD, every time I change the HDD
windows losts the disk and I have to rebbot the system.
Is it possible to avoid this ? and how .....

Hi, I really need help here...
My USB hard drive loads in the device manager as nonremovable (no storage
volumes).  
Also the drive icon and drive label does not appear.

I have a single Samsung drive, 160Gb. I've partitioned it - using the XP
Recovery Console fdisk and diskpart commands - into 7 partitions: primary
(10Gb, XP needs space!), and one extended logical drive. I'm still not
entirely confident in partitioning drives, but it seems to work ...

My DVD drive suddenly stopped reading DVD disks it does however still have no
trouble reading CD,s.

I'm experiencing trouble with LG HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA 4167B.
I first installed it (plug and play, no driver or software came with it) and
it all seemed to work fine (as i didn't try to burn a dvd).
- in device manager it appears like HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA 4167B.

My Notebooks seems to have trouble recognizing my USB hub. For a few days I
either get a "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" or "Unknown Device" when
I connect the hub. The only thing that helps is uninstall and reinstall the
hub each time. Any ideas?

On a Windows XP machine I want to set the default screen resoltuion to 800 x
600. Everytime I go into the settings and change it,  when I restart my
computer, it goes back to 1024 x 768.  Do I change that in the registry to
default the settings to 800 x 600? If so, where?  I need ...
