I encountered a lot of problems with my PC. First the DVD and the CD drives
went down, the message being that The Disk in Drive is not formatted. I
re-installed the operation system and for a short time
the DVD and CD drives came back to life. Now they come with the same error

when I added an external dvd-rw the computer reconizes it as a rom.  When I
go into the device manager, it says it is DVD rw, but in My Computer it is
only a DVD/cd rw. I have been unable to write to DVD due to this problem. How

I've made a few inquiries on this group recently and have gotten alot
