I have a motherboard from Intel, I installed PCI controler SATA RAID from
Adaptec (1210SA),  I set up RAID 1.  Reboot to boot from installation CD
XPSP1 Pro, F6 to install RAID driver, select  newest drivers from Adaptec and
get Error message "File aaa....sys unexpected error ...

......i installed Power DVD in my cpu and have the hardware installed in the
PC but i still don't see it shown up in "My Computer".  the dvd drive opens
and closes and the green light flashes but i still don't see it anywhere in
"My Computer" so therefore the dvd's don't work.

its an 16x burner and an 8x ritek dvd-r but its burning at 4x, its part
of my hp pavillion
8013cl notebook. i was using nero and it would say burning at 8x time
remaining 8 minutes except that when the time ran out the dvd was only

Have just installed Windows XP Pro and all seems to work properly except no
sound is heard from any source. Computer is IBM 2140 L31.  The sound recorder
is apparently recording OK.  CDs do not play and video online is silent.  No
inputs are muted and vol is set to max.

I bought a second SATA HD for my computer, but the computer does not see its
full capacity. Although it is 200GB, the BIOS reports it is only 136GB, and
hence so does Windows?!?! It awfully sounds like the old big hard drive
problem, whereby older hardware/OS could not see the ...

I think I screwed up the jumper settings.
Now the C: is primary slave and D: is primary master. Windows still boots up
fine.
