'Remove Hardware' accident: removed my internal CD/DVD06 May 2006 21:45 GMT4
I removed by accident my internal CD/DVD using the utility 'Remove Hardware'
that popped-up in the notification area in the right-under corner of the
screen.  My DVD is complete dead and is nowhere visible anymore.  The
mecanical bay does not even want to come out if I push it.  ...

i just got a new laptop and the key board on it has the " to be shifted from
2 but it actually comes up instead of the" sign and the same.
i think it might be because of when u turn on new computer i i chose the u.s
keyboard (recommended)  but i am used to it the other way round

I am having a problem with my cd drive. It is missing and comes up as a code
39 error. I have used the resolution for the code 39 ie delete the filters,
but I still have the problem. I did find that I only had Upper filters and
not Lower filters - is this the problem. Any help ...

I want to install a third HDD onto my PC which already has two HDDs.
Can I just get another cable with three plugs on it and add it to the
existing two, or is there some other diabolical trick that I no not of?

I have some NON system drives, hooked up to a Silicon Images 3112 controller.
When I remove 1 drive, the system does a BSOD, stop error 0xd1
(0xa,0x2,0x0,0xa) and DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL shortly after I get to
the desktop.

i got given a a pentium 3 peice of hardware yesterday.can anyone tell me what
the f it is?description as best as i can write.it is a pci card  incased

I am getting a QUARTZ.DLL error when I try to play some (AVI) video files
via my Windows Media Player 10.     I have tried to re-install DirectX 9.0c,
but the problem is still happening.  Also, it seems like QUARTZ.DLL is a
system protected file, so I cannot do anything with it.

For some reason, my WMP 10 (latest version) has stopped playing some of my
AVI files.   Instead of starting them, it just gives me the following error:
