I believe this has happened twice now, both before (3 months ago) and after the death of my last hard drive. Is there a diagnostic or troubleshooting routine I can run for the following symptoms? 1. Computer is turned on or restarted.

HI, kind of a long story, but here it goes. Had an e-machines computer running Windows XP Pro, mother board crashed. There was some important data in a folder for one of the User Accounts I had set up. Took out the hard drive and put in another e-machines box I had.

1. I understand the concept of jumpering connections on a hard drive or other device, but I have never seen these little jumper things. Where do we buy these, or did they come with my hard drive, and the installer person just threw them out?

I have two hard drives in my computer and one is contected to the CD cable and the other one is conected to the regular hard drive cable one is full but I cant donlowd stuf on to the other one why is that?
