I believe this has happened twice now, both before (3 months ago) and after
the death of my last hard drive. Is there a diagnostic or troubleshooting
routine I can run for the following symptoms?
1. Computer is turned on or restarted.

I have a Maxtor ATA-100 card with four additional drives connected (total of

HI, kind of a long story, but here it goes.  Had an e-machines computer
running Windows XP Pro, mother board crashed. There was some important data
in a folder for one of the User Accounts I had set up.  Took out the hard
drive and put in another e-machines box I had.

After installing SP2 my device manager is now empty and my sound doesn't

I have two hard drives in my computer and one is contected to the CD
cable and the other one is conected to the regular hard drive cable one
is full but I cant donlowd stuf on to the other one why is that?

My 200GB Maxtor Ultra ATA/133 (Model: 6Y200P0) is recentely dead after
an electrical break out.  It clicks when it is powered on and the BIOS
of my desktop cannot detect its corrected information (model etc.).
The clicking is very similar to the "clicking" in the link of

I just re-installed my Windows XP OS and the Apps and Drivers CD after
replacing the internal 80GB hard drive. The problems is  when I plug in my
Maxtor One Touch II external 200GB hard drive to my Gateway Notebook, I get
a blue screen error with the message "Plug and Play error ...

I happen to have XP, with two possible printers - one home, one elsewhere.  
Now, my home 815C cannot maintain its default status - what a hassle!  I am
constantly having to go in and re-default it, since it keeps going over to
the HP 3720 installed recently with a download ...
