I don't know if anyone else has had the oportunity to play with this
aspect of vista yet, but, in Vista is it a security feature to not be
able to autoconnect to the internet using a wireless connection? I have
done a lot of searches in the help files as well as the KB for

I have tried to plug in the 128/MB pen driver but it is not reading it i
also plugged in the USB2.0 52 in 1 card reader that too is not recognized by
my sysstem but if i plug the same in the front panel of the usb slot it is
reading how. and why is the back slot not working

Is the Matshita UJ-840D drive compatible with DVD-R DL disks? I am
attempting to burn with them, and it appears that the drive does not
recognize the disk. I don't know if I need to buy DVD+R DL disks, or if
the driver/firmware needs to be updated.

Having recently spent some time trying to configure my TV as a second

I have two freezing problems with my Toshiba laptop.

I have an old nordson controller that drives a mechanical insertion unit for
the factory floor. An older software helps the controller communicate through
com ports. It's running fine with windows 98, but were trying to upgrade all
units to XP and it won't talk to each other.

I have just purchase a new computer with Windows XP Home Edition.
I just realised that there is no "3 and half inch" floppy drive in it.  How
to I create a BOOT UP DISK without a floppy drive (is a "boot up disk" the
same as a MS DOS start up disk?).

Hi, I hope someone can help me.  I just installed a SATA drive (Maxtor)
as a storage device.  I also have two IDE drives - one with XP.
Everything seemed to go well except for a new optical device showing up

(say drive F) and increase the size of the existing drive drive E
