I'm running wqindow xp home edition,i had a new hard driver installed about a
month ago. my problem I wanted to use my 6 in 1 reader and writer to transfer
images from my camera memory card, the light flashes on the the reader as if
to transfer the images but nothing get ...

My computer recognises all the drives correctly until I insert a blank
DVD for recording. As soon as I do this, the computer sees the drive as
a CD drive. Is this right and if not, how to fix? TIA!

I just did a fresh install of Windows XP on my system. when done, My
drives show up in the bios and in Disk Manager. The Slave drive has no
drive letter and there is no option to give it one. Only option is to
delete the partition...I know doing this will restore the drive and

Here is an odd one.  I have a PC that is acting very weird.  When you
attempt to plug in the USB cable from an iPod, even just TOUCHING the
usb plug to the recepticle... it causes the PC to reset entirely.

I was having some difficulty with win XP so decided to to do a clean

I just installed a new 300gb drive and it has nothing on it. I click on the
properties window and it says "free space 2999,989,655,552 bytes, 279gb".
So why is the "bytes" 20gb larger than the "gb" number?  Where did those
20mb go?

I've got an ASUS K8V-MX motherboard.
One 250 GB matrox diamond and one IBM deskstar 40 GB hdd.
Both worked fine, booting from the IBM with data on the Maxtor
after Re-installing WinXP from CD, incuding SP1

C++ or else, and the program ask for CD's (my data stuff no music cd's or
