It looks like I have to reformat.  I'm going to go ahead and put in a new
Seagate 200gb drive.  I'm not sure if my Windows disk has sp1 on it or not,
so if I put the new drive in as a slave and format it while I still have
sp2, then take it out and change the jumper to master, ...

I'm replacing my hard drive which does work, but is showing signs of
failure.  I've done a backup, but just in case I've missed something, will
it work if I change the jumper to slave and install it as a second hard
drive so I can access files on that drive?  I'll do this after ...

I have Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2.  My computer has usb ports.
Is it possible to learn without taking off computer case to learn if my
ports are USB1  or if they are USB2?

I had 2 PATA drives and disconnected my slave and installed a SATA drive.  I
mirrored my HD with XXCLONE and checked the option to make the new drive
bootable.  My system booted from the PATA drive so I disconnected it and
re-booted,  but then got a message "no OS installed".

Is there a way to run Norton Disk Doctor with the Fix Error Box Checked
without getting the message "The operating system or another process
currently has exclusive access to this drive. Norton Disk Doctor cannot
