I'm replacing my hard drive which does work, but is showing signs of failure. I've done a backup, but just in case I've missed something, will it work if I change the jumper to slave and install it as a second hard drive so I can access files on that drive? I'll do this after ...

I currently run 2 mirrored drives on a Promise TX2000. I want to add a new Hard Drive on one of the motherboard IDE connections. How can I add a drive to the IDE and not have it recognized as C Drive. I want the current drive on the Promise card to remain C: Drive.

I had 2 PATA drives and disconnected my slave and installed a SATA drive. I mirrored my HD with XXCLONE and checked the option to make the new drive bootable. My system booted from the PATA drive so I disconnected it and re-booted, but then got a message "no OS installed".
