I have a USB memory stick which somehow I have put in read only mode. I would like to de-activate this so I can edit files but can't find the option to do this. All I can find is how to activate the security area and create a partition.

I just watched a DVD on my laptop and when it was over I tried to eject the DVD but nothing happens. The eject button feels the same as always when I depress it. Would this be a mechanical problem, or could it be something deeper?

So I have a USB 250GB external Maxtor OneTouch drive which I use to store a lot of my documents and data as well as backup and restoration stuff. It has been working fine for about 2.5-3 years. It is a FAT32 drive and it does not have an OS on it

I have partitioned my 60GB HDD to 7GB 7GB and 46GB (lets call them C, D, and E). All NTFS cleared and formatted, there should be no backup partition, e.g. Ghost. Windows XP is installed under C: drive, all my daily activities are saved on the E: drive, and D is for backup.
