XP does not recognize a new SATA hard drive22 Jul 2006 07:34 GMT2
I just added a SATA HD to a system with an IDE HD.  Bios sees it, Device
Manager sees it, but it doesn't show in My Computer.  I would format it
but when I run Disk Management only the first HD and DVD drive show.
Any ideas?  They are both Western Digital Drives. #1 60GB IDE system

I have checked all my setting and still cannot get it boot directly from the
IDE HDD which is the Ch  0  master.   I can get it to boot from the HDD in a

I have just added a new Graphics card a Geforce 6 6600 and some
additional memory but have started to experince problems.  I have

I have two identical Acer Laptops.
One has a broken screen, but it is the more important one. I want to swap

WindowsXP has my cd-rom drive listed in MyComputer under "Devices with
Removable Storage" which causes the drive to become inaccessible.
This is an internal cd-rom drive. A Philips CDRW4012P to be exact.

The pointer for my Intellipoint USB Optical Mouse doesn't always stay in
place. It often jumps right off of the display. At other times, it climbs up
the screen when I stop moving the mouse on the pad.
Has anyone else had this problem? What's up?

I am using Abit KT7a (socket A).  I am planning to assemble a new PC with
CPU socket
AM2 (althon 64).  Can my old ATX Case be usable?  I wonder if there are
