This is becoming a serious and frequent problem so i hope someone can
help.
We have a computer that we bought from a computer show in boston and
the manufacturer did not leave us with easy support. Here is the

So I've been reading up on RAM limitation issues with a 32 bit OS
install.
Found out after I installed 4 1GB DDR400 sticks in my mobo and XP (32
bit) with SP2 and all updates only shows 3.25.  I have an Athlon64 CPU

i have a disc drive that is supposed to be able to use 8.5 gig discs to
record when required but it seems only to recognise 4.7 or cd

I occasionally plug my USB flash drive into a computer at a cybercafe,
and notice that the metal parts of the flash drive give me a shock (a
small, low voltage shock but a shock nevertheless.)
At other cybercafes, I don't have this problem. Just at some.

I had an IDE Samsung 80GB HDD in an external USB2 enclosure, but the
enclosure stopped working so I put installed it internally. In Windows
(XP) it showed it as only 31.5GB, and I marked the partition active in
the disk manangement MMC built in to windows (right click on My

I've been using MS wireless mouse (Notebook 3000) with no problem.  But
after I installed the latest security definition (on 8/5/2006), my mouse
acted erratically for a bit then stopped working entirely.  Device Manager
says there is no problem, and USB recognizes the device ...

I can not get Windows Xp to recognise the 1394 interface on my Asus K8N4-E
motherboard, it does not show in device manager. It is enabled in the BIOS
(flashed to latest version).
I have tried XP SP1 & SP2.

i have recently been given a mp3 player which I am having a problem with.
the previous owner did not have the problem as I have seen it plugged into
their computer with no problem.

Can I upgrade this in steps or do I really need a new motherboard and

I have a Sony desktop computer.  It overheats often.  While I'm using
the computer, the fan suddenly spins up and the computer crashes.  This
happens very often.

and I would have to either unplug at back of computer of flip power switch on
surge protector before computer would come back on. I have subsuquently

I am building a system for a buddy of mine, he will be playing a lot of

after i restart my computer, i have to reinstall the sound. why?
and after reinstalling also,some sounds like exclamation, error, etc
does not come, but instead a beep comes from the cpu.
is it a problem with the chip, its of c-media.

I am running windows xp pro sp2 on a dell dimension 8250 PC. Recently, I
bought a dell usb optical mouse. I am a random problem. windows is randomly
does not recognize it when i boot or re-boot. When it happens, i have to
unplug my pc to resolve it. It does not happen in safe ...
