I'm trying to install a second hard drive. I have one IDE connection
left but two power connections left. Which power connection do I plug
into the hard drive or does it matter?

My monitor suddenly shuts down while I'm doing something like in Techno Ejay
4 and Ares. Does anyone know why? It started doing that about 2 weeks ago. I
didn't change any of my monitor settings.

When i plug my camera to the computer, the pictures won't show. I tried
troubleshooting and i was asked to install the driver. I inserted the CD but
it still won't work. Can anyone help please?

I have a HP external DVD writer that I installed about a month ago. All went
well till a few days ago when the system would not recognize it. It does not
show up on the devices list (Win XP w/service pak 2). I tried reinstalling
the softeware and then unplugging and re-attaching ...

I can't seem to find the answer to the following questions.
I need to find out what the max partition is WIN XP Fat32 and NTFS.
Can anyone shed a light on this?

Hi.  I am trying to get my computer to show my photos.  I can see the desk
top background, but that is it.  I can not get the computer to find the new
desctop either.

Hard drives are pretty much the slowest piece of a PC anymore, not counting
floppy/CD drives which aren't typically accessed while doing intense
processing that you'd really want the speed for.
Are there any IDE drives yet faster than 7200 rpm?

the "-" of my Dell Inspiron 1300 is not working. I pressed the "-" key
but there's no output on the screen and occasionally, the "-" will be
pressed automatically and "-------------" and so on will take lots of
spaces in my Ms Word, Notepad and any other application that can accept

When i plug in a USB thumb drive, or my camera, I get the BSOD and the
message no_more_irp_stack_allocations.
I've done a google search but this message only brings up a couple of hits
which don't seem relevant.

I've recently gotten a new rig - Acer, which purports to have USB2 ports.  
However, the speed is at 1.1.  XP says that there are no hi-speed ports
installed.  I have checked out the drivers and they are, indeed, standard usb
drivers, not enhanced ones.  There is no mobo disk only ...
